Get to know me

I attended UWM for creative writing and art, but my passion for photography started well before college. When people ask me when I developed a love for photography, I can’t give them a concrete answer because as long as I can remember I’ve enjoyed taking photographs – elementary school field trips, my little brother’s soccer games, childhood pets – and my interest in the field grew as I did.

Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to have worked alongside and been trained by some great photographers in lighting, composition, and editing. I enjoy shooting many things but some of my favorites are weddings, music, and fashion. My favorite part of a wedding day is definitely getting to work with the couple on their posed shots. My love of fashion photography plays a part in posing as well as individual photos of the bride, her dress, and her accessories. It’s always a privilege to be able to spend such a special day with my couples and I’m so grateful for each and every one of them!

If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning medal for?
Cat petting

What skill would you like to master?
Fluency in French and other languages

What’s your favorite drink?
Tea and more tea.

What song have you completely memorized?
Pheobe Buffey’s Smelly Cat

What’s something you like to do the old-fashioned way?
I like to take notes and keep a calendar on paper instead of laptops or phones. Same with reading books! The smell of an old book is my fave.

What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
Something that scares you or you don’t think you could ever do (one of mine was riding a motorcycle!)

What one thing do you really want but can’t afford?
A cottage in the England countryside or an apartment in London

What bends your mind every time you think about it?
Infinite time and space!

What’s the best thing you got from your parents?
My father’s eye for art, my mother’s strong will, their support, and my first camera!

If you had a personal flag, what would be on it?
Cats. On a motorcycle. In front of the union jack. Sipping tea.

Thank you so much!!! I am not sure how you managed to get these to us within a month of our wedding especially during your busiest season.

Everything was absolutely PERFECT! I don’t even know how we got so lucky all across the board – everything was perfect. We are so glad to hear you had a good time at our wedding – that is exactly what we wanted to hear! I was so nervous for so long that no one would have a good time and honestly, it was just the best! We enjoyed working with the two of you very much! We’re kind of sad it’s over!!

We cannot WAIT to see our pictures! The sneaks we saw throughout the day just look gorgeous and I can’t wait to see them touched up a bit and to pick our favorites for further editing. Seriously, so excited!
