Meet Josh

Get to know me

I didn’t start out in photography. My mother dabbled in portrait photography when I was a child, but I never had a camera of my own until after I graduated from university. It wasn’t until the years following higher education that I started to dive into the world of photography; that’s when I developed a passion for capturing moments and the people in them. I’ve had the privilege of working with an array of photographers since then and they’ve each instilled a drive in me to capture that perfect moment.

Photographing weddings brings me joy, simple as that. The venues are gorgeous, the food is amazing, and the music is always a blast to dance to! But honestly, the best part about any wedding is by far the people. The people are who make it worthwhile to photograph. With all the smiles, the laughs, and the tears, the moments that are truly worth capturing are the ones created by the people. It’s these fleeting moments shared with loved ones that I absolutely love preserving forever for you!

All that being said, I simply strive to provide you with photos that will make you and your loved ones smile for years to come. Cheers!

If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
I’d like to say that I would learn a new language or learn a musical instrument, but in reality, I’d most likely just binge watch The Office and Game of Thrones.

What fictional place would you most like to go?
Hogwarts, duh!

What would be the most amazing adventure to go on?
Sailing from the top of Alaska to the bottom of Chile.

What songs have you completely memorized?
Come Fly With Me by Frank Sinatra

What takes up too much of your time?
Pondering about what my dog is doing when I’m not at home.

How different was your life one year ago?
A year ago I was in the Alaskan wilderness, miles away from civilization with nothing more than a satellite phone to communicate with the outside world and sleeping out under the stars each night. Life has changed quite a bit since last year to say the least!

What’s your claim to fame?
Working with at-risk youth for a non-profit in Alaska.

What’s your dream car?
Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. It has terrible gas milage and is not the most comfortable ride, but it’s been my dream car since I was a child and I want one!

What movie title best describes your life?
Stranger than Fiction.

What is the most annoying question that people ask you?
“What’s your favorite food?” This question is impossible to answer since I love everything!

What was the best book or series that you’ve ever read?
Tuesdays with Morrie. Its an amazing book… read it.

What age do you wish you could permanently be?
23, because nobody likes you when you’re 23…

Kind words

“Thank you so much for all of your hard work at our wedding a few weeks ago and the kind words you sent. We mentioned it before–we had seven weddings this summer and we were both in weddings and it was a noticeable difference working with you and your preparation, attitude and dedication in comparison to the other weddings we were in. Thank you!

Thank you again for all of your hard work and your hustle at our wedding! We really had an amazing day!”

“Oh my goodness these photos all look fantastic! We love them all so so much! Thanks for all of your hard work on them, we really appreciate it!

We definitely are going to have a hard time deciding which pictures to make into our canvas prints, because we love them all!!

Thank you again!”

-Becky and Andy Bauer

“We just can’t say enough about how great you two were. I mean you two are the definition of professional photographers. Thank you so much for being who you are. Josh, thank you for keeping me focused and calm especially before the ceremony!! You were just awesome, kept us on task and very personal. You were a joy to be around. Seriously there are no words that can tell you two how gracious we really are with you both. We are so thrilled you two didn’t just capture our day but you were apart of it and we will remember that forever!

Thank you!”

“Jamie and I have one complaint, too many good photos! 😉 That is seriously not even a complaint. 🙂 We just LOVE every photo! I told Jamie we should wallpaper a room with all the photos. Everyone keeps saying how great the photos look and I have been telling them to let you know by leaving a comment on your Facebook page.”

-Jamie & Craig

“Josh and Erin did an amazing job at our wedding. They helped make the night go so smoothly and were so nice. They went above and beyond to make our night special for us and were willing to do anything to get perfect pictures. Couldn’t have asked for a better photographer – I highly recommend them!”
